Cảnh báo virus phá Sector 0 ổ cứng là thất thiệt

Thông tin về một loại virus phá hỏng ổ cứng vĩnh viễn là tin đồn thất thiệt, đã được phát tán từ năm 2000. Đây chỉ là một phao tin đồn nhảm (hoax), chứ chưa có loại virus nào như vậy trong thực tế.

Trung tâm An ninh mạng BKIS, Đại học Bách Khoa Hà Nội mới nhận được một số thắc mắc của người dùng về việc: họ nhận được cảnh báo có một loại virus phá hỏng ổ cứng rất nguy hiểm, gửi kèm trong email có tiêu đề 'A Virtual Card For You'. BKIS đã kiểm tra lại và có kết luận như sau: hiện nay không có loại virus nào như trong các cảnh báo đó, những cảnh báo đó là giả và chúng là những email lừa đảo(hoax) trên mạng Internet. Ban đầu, những email lừa đảo này được kẻ chủ mưu gửi cho một số người, nội dung của nó mô tả về một virus cực kì nguy hiểm (nhưng thật ra lại không có thật trong thực tế), yêu cầu người nhận gửi tiếp (forward) nó tới tất cả các địa chỉ email bạn bè của họ. Những người nhận được email này thường sẽ cảm thấy lo lắng và làm theo yêu cầu đó ngay. Đây cũng chính là lý do các email lừa đảo nhanh chóng được nhân lên trong mạng theo cấp số nhân. Nếu bạn nhận được những email kiểu này thì tốt nhất là bạn nên bỏ qua chúng, không nên gửi tiếp (forward) chúng đi nữa.

As soon as the supposed virtual card is opened, the computer freezes so that the user has to reboot. When the ctrl+alt+del keys or the reset button are pressed, the virus destroys Sector Zero, thus permanently destroying the hard disk.

Yesterday in just a few hours this virus caused panic in New York, according to news broadcast by CNN www.cnn.com <> This alert was received by an employee of Microsoft itself. So don't open any mails with subject "A Virtual Card for You". As soon as you get the mail, delete it. Please pass on this mail to all your friends.

Forward this to everyone in your address book. I would rather receive this 25 times than not at all.

Recently a new virus was discovered that was classified by MICROSOFT www.microsoft.com and by MCAFEE www.mcafee.com to be the most damaging of all time! This virus was discovered late yesterday by MCAFEE and still there is no development of a vaccine!

This virus simply writes zeros on the hard drive, where the vital information for the operation of the PC is kept. The virus activates in the following manner:

1. By email it is received with the title 'A VIRTUAL CARD FOR YOU', when opening the message, it sends itself to all in the address list soon...

2. It hangs the machine, forcing the user to reboot the system.

3. AT the moment in which the keys ctrl+alt+del or the RESET button is pressed, it writes zeros to the hard drive making it unusable forever.

By the previous information, please, take precaution with the use of electronic mail and, of course, if you receive an email which you do not know the origin of, simply delete it without opening.

Please, send this message to the most people possible!!!!

Stuur dit uit het Engels vertaalde bericht zo snel mogelijk op naar al je contacten !(het oorspronkelijk bericht is van Neil Quigley van New Media Computer Corp).
